Safeguarding & safe participation

Child-first participation
Use age/readiness-appropriate activities, short guided steps, practical making and breaks. Do not rank children by screen time, popularity or appearance. No health, eyesight, income or guaranteed career outcomes are promised. Allow alternative paper, spoken or assisted evidence. Avoid public full names, locations, school uniforms, contact details or identifiable background information in projects.

Adult conduct
Teaching should be observable and guardian-aware. No private adult–child DMs, personal gifts tied to performance, secrecy requests, behavioral ads or sponsor access to a child. Meeting links stay within the enrolled family group. Recording is off by default and requires a separately reviewed purpose, permission, access list and retention plan. No new child-facing AI chatbot is authorized by this release.

Daily handover
Only the guardian or a currently authorized collector may collect a child. Staff verify identity in person, check the current contact record and record the handover. A checkbox is documentation, not automated ID verification. For an unfamiliar collector, inconsistent identity, custody restriction or late pickup: keep the child supervised and call the guardian using the recorded contact. Do not release on an unverified forwarded message. The organisation must establish the local custody, late-pickup and emergency procedure before operating.

Report and respond
Use Report a concern while signed in; a child can ask their guardian or staff to report. If immediate danger exists, seek local emergency help and a trusted adult immediately; this form is not a continuously monitored emergency service. Proposed operating targets: urgent cases escalated immediately when noticed; ordinary reports acknowledged within one working day. Confirm staffing and hours before promising these targets. Preserve relevant evidence, limit access to safeguarding staff, document actions and avoid retaliation. Staff must not promise absolute confidentiality when protecting a child requires escalation.

Stop and review
Pause unsafe sessions/features; withdraw learning consent or close group admissions as appropriate. Safeguarding and privacy reviewers can require suspension of launch or activity. Resolve complaints through the family route and an independent reviewer where the complaint concerns the original handler.
